Natural Ornament Making with Nick and Laura

December 9th, 2017 10:00am - 12:00pm

Have you ever wondered how to decorate your Christmas tree or home with tiny creatures, but were intimated by sewing a Santa suit, or knitting a stocking? Well, now you can learn how to make ornaments the easy way using natural materials you find on the ground in the park!

Learn how to forage for natural materials you can use for crafts for the Holidays or for any day. Seed pods, dead flowers, sticks and more! Topcis covered include plant and tree ID, habitat, crafting ecosystems, and seasonality. We'll also show you how to put ornaments together and leave you with lots of ideas for your next craft night. Participants will have the opportunity to make your own ornaments at the workshop. (Googly eyes included with admission.)

With forager/farmer Nick Lubecki and artist/educator Laura Ramie
